James “Jimmy” Baker is a noted speaker, author, and marketing strategist on the public sector technology marketplace. Baker has spent his career in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area as well as California consulting for technology companies that focus on the public sector marketplace. Baker has consulted for many technology companies, from Fortune 500s to small businesses. Additionally, Baker spent three years at California Polytechnic State University's California Cybersecurity Institute, located at Camp San Luis Obispo National Guard Base.

A graduate of the University of Maryland, Baker currently resides in California. Baker is very active in his local community.  Baker recently authored “The Social Engineering and Digital Defense Survival Guide for the Everyday Person.”

Baker previously supported the NIST National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) by volunteering his time as a co-chair for the Promote Career Discovery Working Group committee to promote cybersecurity pathways for youth.
